For more than 60 years, NASW members have made a collective impact on the institutions and policies that help millions of people achieve better lives in their communities. NASW sponsors award programs to honor the highest social work achievements and hosts conferences to showcase excellence throughout the profession.

We also coordinate state-based and nationwide celebrations and campaigns to help educate the public about the many roles of social workers.


Call for Proposals: NASW-NM 2025 Virtual Conference

The NASW New Mexico Chapter is now accepting proposals for CEU presentations for the 2025 Virtual Conference, happening June 27-28, 2025. This year’s theme, “From Compassion to Action: Supporting Social Workers for a Thriving New Mexico,” focuses on empowering professionals through dynamic and informative sessions.
We are seeking engaging presentations on:

  • Clinical Supervision
  • Law & Ethics
  • Human Sexuality
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Trauma-Focused Training

NM AC RFP

Envive Solutions and Health Care Authority are offering several "Continuing Education Training Series" from now until the month of June 2025 for New Mexico social workers. Participants can earn FREE CEUs (up to 16.25) for participating.

Their next course, "Substance Use Disorders: Treatment with MOUD and Non-Prescription Medication Options", will take place on April 10th, 2025 from 11 AM - 1 PM MST via Zoom. 

This comprehensive training series is designed to equip Community Support Workers (CSWs) with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of behavioral health. Certified Peer Support Workers (CPSWs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), and other certified specialists may also benefit from this series. 

Through monthly live and recorded workshops, participants will learn effective communication techniques, tools for resiliency, best practices, and more to ensure the well-being of both clients and providers. This series meets the continuing education criteria for CCSS Community Support Workers.
