Solution Focused Therapy helps couples imagine what they want their future to look like and then builds on what’s 𝑎𝑙𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑦 working to get them there. In this approach, the clinician actively guides the conversation, gently interrupting unhelpful patterns to support their shared vision. Focused scaling helps the couple to understand where they stand on each goal and what each both partners are willing to do to move forward together. Participants will leave this workshop prepared to integrate Solution Focused philosophy and techniques right away in their work with couples.

Workshop objectives:
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Identify at least three types of AI used in social work and describe two applications for each in practice, research, or education.
• Analyze ethical dilemmas involving AI using the NASW Code of Ethics.
• Demonstrate at least two strategies for the ethical and responsible use of AI in social work settings.
